#GlobalNews: « Harry Potter fans can now take an interactive digital tour of Hogwarts – National »
Harry Potter fans might not be able to head to Hogwarts this September, but they can get close with Pottermore’s newest feature.
The J.K. Rowling-owned Harry Potter fan site recently launched an interactive tour site that allows fans to take a digital tour of the famous wizarding school.
Pottermore told TIME in a statement that the game includes clickable hot spots that let users collect points throughout the tour.
“Users visiting Pottermore will have the opportunity to explore the famous wizarding school and its grounds, including the Quidditch pitch where Harry mastered the Golden Snitch and the Forbidden Forest, complete with Hagrid’s hut. The castle and its grounds are peppered with ‘hot spots’ — clickable points that expand to provide details about the magic and mystery of the famous wizarding school that Harry Potter attended,” said Pottermore in the statement.

The website was launched on Sept. 1, to correspond with the first official day of school at Hogwarts, Rolling Stone reports. In addition to letting fans roam around the castle grounds, the website includes the Forbidden Forest, Hagrid’s hut, the Quidditch pitch and the campus exterior.
“From Professor Sprout’s greenhouses to Hagrid’s hut, the experience features many iconic details from the beloved wizarding school, which you can learn about and investigate at your own pace,” a message on the website reads. “(Sadly, no grumbling Argus Filch is included in this experience. Maybe he’s popped out for his Kwikspell course.)”

This experience is free to all registered users of Pottermore and is available across most devices.
Finally, Rolling Stone reports that the website specifies that Sept. 1, 2017, marks the exact date of the “Nineteen Years Later” epilogue in Deathly Hallows that depicts Harry, Ron and Hermione seeing their children off to the Hogwarts express.
