“Katya Dobryakova’s Fall 2017 Collection Was Made for Art Lovers”

Shakespeare, when did you ever get so chic? Prepare to pinch yourself as the fashion line of your art history dreams makes its way into the market (and subsequently, your shopping cart).

From Russia-based fashion designer Katya Dobryakova comes a fall collection cocked and loaded with Renaissance and cubism art imagery. We’re talking Queen Elizabeth I superimposed on a street style-worthy sweatshirt, colorful face doodles embroidered onto cozy oversize cardigans, and even good ol’ William Shakespeare brought back to life with a neon pink cat around his neck—again, on a sweatshirt, of course.

While the collection pays special homage to historical figures (and even reimagining them with playful doodles—what up Benjamin Franklin with the face-palm illustrations), the fall 2017 collection also showcases some of this season’s biggest trends, such as plaid prints and menswear-inspired silhouettes.
