Diesel shared the letter on Instagram, including, “We are Groot!”

Saldana shared the letter on Twitter, writing, “If you please, learn the assertion written and signed by The Guardians of the Galaxy solid in help of James Gunn’s reinstatement as director of GOTG Volume 3.

Gunn issued a public apology shortly after Walt Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn fired him. “My words of nearly a decade ago were, at the time, totally failed and unfortunate efforts to be provocative. To everyone inside my industry and beyond, I again offer my deepest apologies. Love to all.”

Announcing Gunn’s firing on July 20, Horn mentioned, “The offensive attitudes and statements discovered on James’ Twitter feed are indefensible and inconsistent with our studio’s values, and we have severed our business relationship with him.”
