The Regional District of South Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) has issued a whole bunch of latest evacuation alerts forward of potential record-high flows within the Similkameen River.

The listing of properties below evacuation alert was up to date Sunday to incorporate parts of electoral areas B, G, and H, together with the Village of Keremeos.

The Village of Keremeos has positioned 500 properties on the flood plain within the Similkameen River Valley below alert, and the RDOS has positioned 112 properties in rural Princeton, 375 in Cawston, and 330 properties in Keremeos on alert.

That’s a complete of 1,317 properties — the residents of which must be able to evacuate at a second’s discover.
