On Sunday, the two-way participant for the Los Angeles Angels turned the primary main leaguer in almost a century to hit 15 house runs and pitch 50 innings in a season, in line with ESPN.

Ohtani, 24, made his first look on the mound since June 6, when an elbow harm compelled him to quickly cease pitching. He had been caught on 49 1/Three innings pitched since then.

He threw simply 49 pitches over 2 1/Three innings and allowed two runs in Sunday’s sport, a 4-2 win for the American League West-leading Astros. On the season, Ohtani is 4-2 with a 3.31 ERA. He has 63 strikeouts in 51 2/Three innings.

At the plate, he’s batting .276 in 80 video games for the Angels. He has 43 RBIs to go together with his 15 homers.
