The Republicans point out that the fight against racism and anti-Semitism, at the heart of the Republican Pact, must not lead to the instrumentalizations and short cuts that make the depositaries of the police force presumed systematic culprits. The current ideological confusion, imported from the United States and to which the Government has unfortunately given shape, only fuels tensions and divisions within the national community, turning its back on the universal values of our country.
The Republicans are finally calling on the Head of State to respect our constitutional principles and the separation of powers. The Minister of the Interior cannot create a presumption of guilt regime for our police and gendarmes. And the Keeper of the Seals, in wishing to receive the Traoré family, took sides and interfered in an ongoing legal procedure by putting pressure on the justice system in defiance of the magistrates.
