In a new report by British newspaper The Guardian, it was rumored that  Manchester United could make a move this summer to bring back Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera to the club.

In fact, after Lionel Messi’s acquisition, PSG have put Herrera on their transfer list, just two seasons after joining them from Manchester United. The Spanish midfielder spent the bettrer part of five years with the Red Devils, under Van Gaal, Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, becoming a mainstay in United’s midfield. He was sold to PSG in 2019 after contract negotiation regarding a possible extension broke down.

Herrera could now return to English football, if the price is right. The Glazers in fact decided to spend their money parsimoniously after the big signings of Rapahel Varane and Jadon Sancho, but if the two clubs can find a meeting point, the midfielder would bring a familiar and experienced face in the middle of the pitch at a bargain price.
